Hot House are committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment where young musicians can work with talented directors, so as to develop their contemporary music skills. Young musicians will gain confidence and self-esteem whilst rehearsing and performing as part of an ensemble. The friendships and musical experiences earned as a member of a Hot House ensemble will live with your young musician for the rest of their lives!

As a member of Hot House you will have the opportunity of taking part  in Gala celebrations (such as shown in the picture below), Christmas Balls, Music Tours to other countries and arrange for private music tuition with one of our specialist coaches! The new term starts on MONDAY 6th September! Mondays: Melbourne Hot Shots & Gospel Choir, Tuesdays: Hilton Hot Shots, Caliente & Saxophonix, Wednesdays: Chellaston Hot Shots & Burton Big Band, Thursdays: Ashby Hot Shots, Jive & Fusion, Fridays: Jam & Big Band, Saturdays: Hot Shots & Kids Choir! All bands that used to take place at Murray Park School are now moved to the Derby Grammar School for Boys, Littleover, Derby, DE22 4BX... Please spread the word!

Both the Hub Burton & Hub Derby Calenders have been updated and there are some really exciting concerts lined up for this term for all of our groups. We are particularly pleased to be supporting so many local charities and good causes. If you would like a Hot House group to come and perform for you please just email us and we will do our best to accomodate your needs (Gig lists & Term Dates available via email).

After a sensational summer featuring 3 summer schools and a tour to Paris we are delighted to announce that we will be offering a variety of tours that include Disneyland Paris, Belgium Christnas markets and somewhere more exotic for all of our members!

This term sees Hot House launching 3 new Hot Shot groups to be based in Chellaston, Ashby and a "Kids only" choir on Saturday mornings. If you would like more details of these groups or other Hot House activities near you, please drop us an Email.

After the resounding success of this years gala, plans are afoot to turn our annual celebration into a mini festival therefore allowing all of our groups more exposure and performance time. We are hoping this will be an outdoor event with fireworks, hog roasts and carnival games! The dates are July 16th/17th, please put these into your diaries.

The Saxophonix cookbook is now complete and at the printers! each week a different member of Saxophonix bakes something "sweet" and brings it to the rehearsal for the other members. An ideal gift for family and friends. To order your copy now call M: 07792 550437 (proceeds shared between Marie Curie and the Mini-bus fundraising efforts).

The Gospel Choir had a sensational year culminating in an incredible "Strawberries & Pimms" gig at the end of summer. The music was recorded and is now available as a demo CD. Hear why so many are wanting to join the Choir! Come along and bring a friend, you will have a brilliant night.

We have 4 "school holiday" music courses schduled for this academic year. Dates an details are on the new gig list available via Email.

Saxophonix Paris tour photos are currently being uploaded onto FLICKR, without a doubt one of the best tours we've ever had the pleasure of managing (so much so, we've already booked one for next summer with extra concerts in the CHAMPAGNE region too)! If you have photos of any of our Hot House events last year, please send them through, we would dearly like to see our young musicians doing what they do best.

We are hoping to offer all members/parents and friends of Hot House a Christmas "Black Tie" exclusive Ball. We are currently looking at a host of options that include, the Crich Tramway museum, the Derby Gaol, Foremark Hall & Twycross Zoo, watch this space for more details!

Yes the time has come for Hot House to look into getting a TOUR BUS (mini-bus)! In order to manage music tours, gig transport and greater access to the community we would like to invite you to help us with our fundraising campaign. We have 4 ways in which you could help:
1. Be one of our 1000 signatures! (Have your autograph "sign-written onto the new bus) Only £25
2. Sponsor one of the seats (Driver/Conductor - get your name on a plaque) Only £100
3. Attend one of our 25 fund-raising events
4. Make a donation/pledge (Get your company logo or message in prime place on our bus)!
